CES 2025 brought together the leading companies and innovations of the technology world and attracted great attention this year as well. The laptop sector was among the brightest stars of the fair with remarkable products in terms of both design and performance.
Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable
Lenovo introduced the ThinkBook Plus Gen 6 Rollable as the rollable screen laptop. This device can switch from a 14-inch (2000x1600 pixels) horizontal screen to a 16.7-inch (2000x2350 pixels) vertical screen. When the screen was extended vertically, this is what came to my mind: you can split the screen in half and work. It could be a very stylish solution instead of adding additional screens to the right and left of the computer screen. However, I wonder if the screen wobbling problem will occur from the hinges after a while when the screen is extended upwards.
But wait a second, didn’t Lenovo already showcase this concept at MWC 2023 as well? See the video below of Lenovo @ MWC 2023.
Maybe they aimed the rolling screen concept again.

Weighing only 980 grams, it appeals especially to users looking for mobility. Although the Snapdragon X series laptops have not yet received enough attention, this situation may change over time.

Final Word
The new hardware introduced at CES 2025 reminds us that computers are constantly aging. If your current device does the job, great, but you may still find yourself sneaking a peek at the new ones. Naturally, not just price/performance but "Price + Performance :)" products were introduced. With these configurations, it seems like it will be easier to run your AI models locally. It even seems like we will be able to train our own models more easily after a while.
